Project Brief

Problem: To design a brand identity for the University of Houston's DigiFest event. Deliverables of the branding system must include: a poster, a post card, a bi-fold, and an access card. The design must follow all of the University of Houston's branding guidelines including, colors, typefaces, and logo work.

Study and Practice: After receiving the required data and text, I gathered exploration images to start working on my design. I wanted to make my design express all about looking forward to the future. Using the UH guidelines, I designed a graphic element that very well shows my intent. The triangles align with the eye-line of the people and the cougar, suggesting direction. The icons that represent the various facets of the digital media field stay true to the University of Houston's guidelines. The final output results in a brand system for print of a poster, postcard, bi-fold and access card. The project earned third place in the University of Houston's RedFest.
